I had a wonderful stay at Maid'S House Villa in the beautiful countryside. the interior of the 200-year old farmhouse has been modernized and the kitchen, bathroom, and living room were all spacious and well-equipped. the Wi-Fi connection was excellent, and the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, with plenty of storage space. the Carmichael estate has its own network, ensuring a reliable connection. the location was peaceful and quiet, and I can imagine it being even more enjoyable in spring and summer. my experience was pleasant and I highly recommend Maid'S House Villa.
Almost perfect! 😊 the access road to the cottage could be improved.

We had a blast with our friends at The Maid'S House. They had a rad children's playground and even a hot tub for us to chill in. The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do - fishing and hiking were off the hook! Plus, the hotel offered a bunch of other awesome activities in the area. We had a wild time!
The only thing we wished for was a sick party room for young people like us. It would have been epic to have a dedicated space to rage with our friends.

I recently stayed at The Maid's House for a few days and it exceeded my expectations. The countryside location was perfect and the modern treatment of the 200-year-old farmhouse was impressive. The spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and ample storage space were delightful. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent and the Carmichael estate's network was reliable. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery made for a relaxing getaway. I especially loved the little touches like fresh flowers on the table. a pleasant stay that would be even better in spring/summer!
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at Maid's House Villa in Lanark and had a wonderful experience. the cottage itself was beautiful, spacious, and very cosy. the staff, including the chef, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. the cottage was clean throughout, and we appreciated the laminate flooring in the hallway, which made it easy to bring in our dogs. the living room carpet was a bit worn, so we didn't mind letting our dogs relax in that space. the little touches, like fresh daffodils on the table, added to the overall charm. the kitchen was well-equipped and had a small table and chair for dining. the lounge dining room was large and comfortable, with plenty of space to move around. the bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of storage. the location was great, with Peebles, Edinburgh, and Glasgow all within an hour's drive. it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and we're already planning to come back next year. Cons: Cannot find any fault 😊.

Quirky and Quaint: The Maid's House in Lanark is like stepping into a whimsical fairytale cottage. With its inviting self-catering accommodation, I felt like I was in my own little magical realm.
Musty Living Room: Although the rest of the rooms were lovely and fresh, the living room had a strange musty smell that was slightly off-putting. With the dogs sleeping there, it wasn't a big issue for us, but those planning to spend more time in the living room may want to reconsider.

Charming cottage in the middle of nowhere, perfect for escaping the chaos of everyday life. The kids had a blast in the playground and hot tub. The spacious living room was great for family gatherings and game nights.
Who needs a reliable road or internet in the countryside? Getting there was a fun adventure, and the temperamental Wi-Fi added a touch of excitement to our stay.
